While in Morocco in 2013, we found an old wooden book cover sans the book. Strips of leather remained as did some paper on the inner side. 
We noticed the paper was hand written . When I dissected what was there, we found many different peoples hebrew texts. The nicest was a 1619 perush on the rambam hilchot treifot. Below are some pictures.
